Proline plays an important role in mediating protein folding and stability, however, the impact of noncanonical proline analogues on protein folding and stability is not well understood. Here, the authors report that the dehydro-δ-azaproline substitution within the polyproline II (PPII) and loop regions of the avian pancreatic polypeptide (aPP) can enhance PPII conformation and thermal stability of aPP.
