Foster, Carver et al. apply Normalisation Process Theory (NPT) to provide an understanding of how successful the Supporting Harm Reduction through Peer Support study (SHARPS) was. Overall the intervention was feasible, and acceptable to, the intervention participants, the Peer Navigators and staff in host settings, with challenges outweighed by benefits.
