The authors reprogram chicken fibroblast cells to form primordial germ cells (PGCs) in one species (black feather Langshan chicken) and then show such PGCs can be transplanted and migrate into the genital ridge of another chicken species (White Plymouth Rock) to produce viable offspring with the Characteristics of donor.
