Zhou et al. show that palmitoylation of GPX4 via ZDHHC8 sustains ferroptosis resistance in melanoma and other cancer cells and propose targeting ZDHHC8 with a small molecule to boost CD8+ T cell-induced ferroptosis, thereby improving immunotherapy.
