Dual emission from organic thermally activated delayed fluorescence (TADF) emitters in the solution state is difficult to observe. Here the authors develop TADF dendrimers containing different rigid and planar N-doped polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon acceptors, which show dual emission emanating from a mixture of emission from monomer and aggregates both in solution and in paraffin and demonstrate its application as temperature sensor.
