Lnc-TALC promotes O⁶-methylguanine-DNA methyltransferase expression via regulating the c-Met pathway by competitively binding with miR-20b-3p

Temozolomide resistance in glioblastoma is associated with MGMT overexpression. Here, the authors identify a lncRNA that is a competitive endogenous RNA for miR-20b-3p, which causes c-Met activation to modulate acetylation of histone H3 on MGMT promoter through Stat3/p300 complex to increase MGMT expression and temozolomide resistance.

Atomic threshold-switching enabled MoS₂ transistors towards ultralow-power electronics

Here, the authors demonstrate an atomic threshold-switching field-effect transistor constructed by integrating a metal filamentary switch with a two-dimensional MoS₂ channel, and obtain abrupt steepness in the turn-on characteristics and 4.5 mV/dec subthreshold swing over five decades.

PRMT2 links histone H3R8 asymmetric dimethylation to oncogenic activation and tumorigenesis of glioblastoma

The role of protein arginine methyltransferases (PRMTs) in epigenetic regulation in cancer is still poorly understood. Here, the authors show that PRMT2 is highly expressed in Glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) and provide evidence that PRMT2 acts as a transcriptional co-activator for oncogenic gene expression programs, at least partly dependent on its H3R8me2a activity, in GBM pathogenesis.
