In this Roadmap, Kovács and colleagues review the imaging techniques used for evaluating the right ventricle, highlight challenges related to standardization, data analysis and clinical implementation, outline research opportunities, including the integration of artificial intelligence technologies, and call for international collaboration to drive advances in the assessment of the right ventricle.
