  • Plant nitrogen availability constrains ecosystem productivity, yet its decadal-scale dynamics remain unclear. Using global foliar δ¹⁵N data (1980–2020) and machine learning, this study suggests that nitrogen availability initially declined and then stabilized, as the dominant driver shifted from atmospheric CO2 to precipitation.
