High-temperature superconductivity in space-charge regions of lanthanum cuprate induced by two-dimensional doping

Introduction of higher-dimensional structure elements into solids is used to generate unusual materials properties. Here, the authors report how replacing LaO planes with SrO dopants yields space-charge induced superconductivity, showing the potential of two-dimensional doping in this field.

Chemical deposition of Cu₂O films with ultra-low resistivity: correlation with the defect landscape

Cu₂O offers a lot of potential for several optoelectronic applications. Here, the authors present a low temperature, fast and scalable approach to deposit Cu₂O films with low resistivity, which is correlated to the defect landscape in the material.

A high-entropy manganite in an ordered nanocomposite for long-term application in solid oxide cells

Electrode functional layers for solid oxide cells require a combination of high reactivity and thermal stability. Here, the authors present a self-assembled vertically aligned nanocomposites of lanthanum strontium manganite and doped ceria as functional layers for high temperature applications.
