Here, the authors report that Pseudomonas aeruginosa uses a small quorum sensing molecule, N-(3-oxo-dodecanoyl) homoserine lactone (3oc12), to fine tune the severity of lung infection through modulation of the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR).
