The transcription complex p52–ETS1 is essential for germinal center formation

Tergaonkar and colleagues identify a noncanonical interaction between the NF-κB transcription factor family member p52 and the ETS family member ETS1. They find that the p52–ETS1 complex is required for splenic germinal center B cell formation and T cell-dependent antibody responses.

RNA control of reverse transcription in a diversity-generating retroelement

This study presents cryogenic electron microscopy structural analysis of a diversity-generating retroelement (DGR) reverse transcription system from Bordetella bacteriophage, with results indicating that RNA surrounding the template controls reverse transcription through mechanisms that are conserved across distant taxa.

Chromogranin A deficiency attenuates tauopathy by altering epinephrine–alpha-adrenergic receptor signaling in PS19 mice

Chromogranin A (CgA) ablation in Tauopathy mice reduces toxic Tau buildup, reverses cognitive decline and improves lifespan. Mechanistically, the deletion of CgA normalizes the adrenergic signaling axis in the brain.
