19.5% Inverted organic photovoltaic with record long-lifetime via multifunctional interface engineering featuring radical scavenger

The advance in improving the operational lifetime of organic solar cells is currently limited. Here, the authors report a radical scavenger capped zinc oxide nanoparticles as the electron transport layer, achieving operationally stable devices with efficiency of 19.47%.

Ultralow trap density FAPbBr₃ perovskite films for efficient light-emitting diodes and amplified spontaneous emission

Chen et al. report an interfacial amidation reaction between perovskite precursor and pimelic acid on sacrificial ZnO substrates to fabricate 3D FAPbBr3 films with low trap density of 1.2E10 cm⁻³. The device structure is further optimised to achieve green LEDs with low efficiency roll-off.

Charge injection engineering at organic/inorganic heterointerfaces for high-efficiency and fast-response perovskite light-emitting diodes

The hole injection and device stability rely heavily on the inorganic/organic interface in perovskite light-emitting diodes. The authors enhanced the NiO_x/PVK interface with a self-assembled monolayer, resulting in blue and green devices with maximum efficiencies of 14.5% and 26.0%, respectively.
