Hadi Amarloo and colleagues present a Rydberg atom receiver based on an integrated photonic crystal vapor cell. The structural features of the design yield a power amplification of 24 dB, providing a pathway to develop Rydberg atom receivers that can be more sensitive than conventional systems.
