Inorganic hole conductor-based lead halide perovskite solar cells with 12.4% conversion efficiency

Perovskite solar cells have been limited by the use of relatively expensive organic compounds as hole-transporting materials. Here, Qin et al.use an inorganic hole conductor, CuSCN, in a lead halide perovskite solar cell and achieve power conversion efficiencies as high as 12.4%.

Gas-responsive porous magnet distinguishes the electron spin of molecular oxygen

A metal–organic framework that exhibits CO₂-induced transitions between paramagnetism and ferrimagnetism

Metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) can combine porosity and magnetic order within their lattice, which makes them attractive for the development of stimuli-responsive magnets. Now, a MOF has been prepared that converts from a ferrimagnet to a paramagnet with CO₂ uptake, and returns to the ferrimagnetic state on releasing CO₂.
