While extensive modeling has explored the urban air quality impacts of electric vehicle charging infrastructure, empirical evidence remains scarce. This study analyzes 8 years of charging records from 292 Chinese cities, revealing intercity variations in electric vehicle usage patterns and quantifying their resulting air quality improvements.
