Benchmarking cell type and gene set annotation by large language models with AnnDictionary

Cell type labelling in single-cell datasets remains a major bottleneck. Here, the authors present AnnDictionary, an open-source toolkit that enables atlas-scale analysis and provides the first benchmark of LLMs for de novo cell type annotation from marker genes, showing high accuracy at low cost.

Topological crystalline insulator states in Pb_1−xSn_xSe

Topological crystalline insulators are a novel state of matter in which the topological features of the electronic structure have been predicted to originate from crystal symmetries. Now an experimental realization of a topological crystalline insulator is reported, in the form of Pb_1−xSn_xSe.

In a large, partially prospective cohort of patients with molecularly profiled and clinically annotated meningioma, the extent of surgical resection and radiotherapy (RT) response correlate with molecular classification, which can be used in a molecular model to predict clinical outcomes in response to RT.
