Nuclear lamin A/C phosphorylation by loss of androgen receptor leads to cancer-associated fibroblast activation

Alterations in nuclear structure are hallmarks of cancer cells but little is known about these changes in Cancer-Associated Fibroblasts (CAFs). Here, the authors show that loss of the androgen receptor (AR) in fibroblasts causes nuclear alteration and transforms them into tumor-promoting CAFs through increased phosphorylation of lamin A/C.

ANKRD1 is a mesenchymal-specific driver of cancer-associated fibroblast activation bridging androgen receptor loss to AP-1 activation

The transcriptional program controlling the activation of cancer-associated fibroblasts (CAFs) remains to be elucidated. Here, the authors identify ANKRD1 as a mesenchymal-specific driver of CAF activation under negative direct control of androgen receptor, triggering AP-1 transcription factor complex activation.

The enhancement of excitonic emission crossing Saha equilibrium in trap passivated CH₃NH₃PbBr₃ perovskite

The interdependence of free carries, trap states and excitons in the light emission properties of CH₃NH₃PbBr₃ perovskite thin films and their relationship to device performance is a subject of debate. Here, the authors investigate the role of non-radiative recombination and demonstrate that the photoluminescence is dominated by exciton radiative decay processes.
