  • Tuberculosis drugs induce the expression of IniA, but so far little has been known about its structure and function. Here the authors present the apo and GTP bound crystal structures of Mycobacterium smegmatis IniA, which folds as a bacterial dynamin-like protein and show that IniA mediates membrane fission in vitro.

  • The ectoenzyme CD73 is often elevated in tumour environments and targeting this protein is a tumour therapeutic target. Here the authors characterise a therapeutic anti-CD73 antibody cocktail which is more effective than either antibody alone and suggest a molecular mechanism of how this antibody cocktail functions.

  • The structure and function of polymerase dimers of non-segmented, negative-strand RNA viruses are poorly understood. Here, this study presents the structural basis for dimerization of a paramyxovirus L–P polymerase and its role in genome replication.

  • This study presenting the cryo-EM structure of human SNAPc in complex with U6-1 PSE, significantly enforces our understanding of the mechanism of the SNAPc assembly, the PSE-specific recognition by SNAPc and the PIC assembly on U6 snRNA promoter.
