Plastic photoreforming offers a promising route for recycling plastic waste but typically depends on unsustainable, corrosive conditions. Here, the authors present a floatable organic–inorganic hybrid TiO2 material that enables efficient conversion of common plastics such as PE, PP, and PVC under neutral conditions.
