Decorating TiO2 with metal ensembles enhances photocatalytic hydrogen generation, but deactivation is a concern. Here, the authors show that Pt, Pd, and Au anchored on {001} anatase facets are more stable photocatalysts compared to {101} facets and correlate the results with first-principles calculations
