Reversible and asymmetric adhesion is needed in removable post-operative patches to reduce trauma and prevent tissue adhesions. Here, the authors report on a conductive musselinspired adhesive Janus hydrogel with an anti-adhesive top for cardiac repair which can be removed using glutathione solutions.
