Photosystem II drives photosynthesis, but how desert algae adapt to excess of light remains unclear. Here, authors present a cryo-EM structure of PSII from Chlorella ohadii, revealing structural features and antenna arrangements that may contribute to its stability.

A LHCB9-dependent photosystem I megacomplex induced under low light in Physcomitrella patens

The organization of photosystem I from the moss P. patens was studied under different light and carbon supply conditions. Different supercomplexes are formed under these conditions controlled by the light-harvesting complex LHCB9 protein subunit.
