Enhanced stability and efficiency in perovskite solar cells via mixed-metal chalcohalide-alloyed formamidinium lead iodide

Achieving long-term stability in halide perovskite solar cells remains challenging due to their susceptibility to environmental degradation. Here, the authors fabricate antimony and sulfur-alloyed perovskite films via a sequential ambient-air process, achieving maximum device efficiency of 25.07%.

Enhanced coordination interaction with multi-site binding ligands for efficient and stable perovskite solar cells

Nie et al. report a multi-site binding ligand to suppress the formation of defects and increase the structural and water stability of perovskites. Solar cells fabricated fully in air achieves an efficiency of 25.03% and retain 98.98% of the performance after aging in air for 1,584 h without encapsulation.

Orientated crystallization of FA-based perovskite via hydrogen-bonded polymer network for efficient and stable solar cells

Formamidinum lead iodide perovskite solar cells commonly suffer from photoinduced phase segregation and humidity instability. Here, the authors design a multifunctional fluorinated additive to promote orientated crystallization of α-phase, and achieve maximum efficiency of 24.1% and T95 over 1000 h.

Monolithically-grained perovskite solar cell with Mortise-Tenon structure for charge extraction balance

Superoxide radical derived metal-free spiro-OMeTAD for highly stable perovskite solar cells

The migration and hygroscopicity of lithium salt in doped spiro-OMeTAD hampers the device efficiency of perovskite solar cells. Here, the authors employ Eu(TFSI)₂ salts to generate superoxide radical for facile pre-oxidation, achieving enhanced efficiency and stability of solar cells and modules.
