The picture shows the core principle of this work, that is, the process of instantaneous interaction and separation of the probe molecule (methane is present to determine the dead time of the probe molecule) with the most active site on the anodically treated carbon fiber (CF) surface. Subcequently, the energetic changes caused by this interaction were analyzed using inverse gas chromatography at infinite dilution, thereby the surface energetic properties of modified CFs were obtained. Finally, the optimal CFs anodization condition was revealed, as described in the abstract.
