Evidence of adaptation to the urban environment remains limited. Using reciprocal transplants of white clover in urban and rural environments, this study shows divergent selection on an antiherbivore chemical with fitness consequences for the plant in both environments and eco-evolutionary feedbacks impacting herbivory and pollinator visitation.
