  • Chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T cells specific for an antigen, BCMA, have shown efficacy in controlling multiple myeloma in some patients, but responses vary. Here the authors show that, by over-expressing a granzyme B-NOXA fusion protein in anti-BCMA CAR T cells, cancer cells are rendered more susceptible to apoptosis induction and CAR T-mediated killing.

  • Treatment of KRASG12C-mutant cancer cells with the KRAS(G12C) inhibitor AMG 510 leads to durable response in mice, and anti-tumour activity in patients suggests that AMG 510 could be effective in patients for whom treatments are currently lacking.

  • Transposable element (TE) activity affects genome structure. Here, authors present GraffiTE, a framework for analysing polymorphic TEs in long reads or assemblies. It combines state-of-the-art variant search, TE annotation, and graph-genotyping, and has proven versatile across eukaryotic models.
