GSDME-dependent pyroptosis drives abdominal aortic aneurysm via promoting vascular senescence

Here they show that gasdermin-E (GSDME) acts as a key driver of abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) by triggering senescence in vascular smooth muscle cells, a process reversible with senolytic drugs, highlighting a promising therapeutic target of AAA.
