Interference phenomena observed in chemical reactions usually arise from two spatially distinct reaction pathways. Now it has been shown that dynamical interferences can be observed between direct and indirect dissociation paths that both traverse the same conical intersection seam at collinear H–OD geometries in the photodissociation of HOD.
