  • Supercritical fluids (SCFs) are traditionally viewed as homogeneous, single-phase fluids without phase separation. This study presents experimental evidence of non-equilibrium phase separation in SCFs, revealing the existence of long-lived, liquid-like clusters using small-angle neutron scattering.
