Fully heterogeneous prepare-and-measure quantum network for the next stage of quantum internet

This work proposed a fully heterogeneous quantum network that connects diverse user systems and enables multiple quantum tasks. A software-defined quantum network structure is also proposed for coordinating network nodes and optimizing network performance. It paves the way for an open and versatile quantum internet.

Rearrangement reactions serve as crucial steps in syntheses of biologically active products and also provide intellectual and conceptual curiosities within the broad field of organic chemistry. Here, the authors report an electrophilic selenylation/semipinacol rearrangement of allenols, catalysed by a chiral Lewis base.

Discovery of oscillations above 200 keV in a black hole X-ray binary with Insight-HXMT

Low-frequency quasiperiodic oscillations in X-ray data are thought to trace the accretion flow in X-ray binaries. Here, the detection of 200 keV oscillations probes the innermost regions of MAXI J1820+070, revealing the precession of a small-scale jet.
