The integration of human papillomavirus (HPV) drives HPV-positive head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HPV+ HNSCC). Here, the authors perform genomic analysis to investigate HPV integration in patients with HPV+ HNSCC, identifying intratumor heterogeneity and biased distribution of HPV integration.
