Platinum-based therapies are a key component of colorectal cancer therapy, but patients often become resistant. Here, the authors identify a non-canonical function of glutamate-cysteine ligase modifier (GCLM) wherein its nuclear translocation increases NF-κB activity promoting resistance to platinum-based chemotherapy in colorectal cancer.
