Forensic event analysis is used to investigate non-nuclear, man-made, explosion-like accidents and unanticipated events. This Technical Review outlines the techniques used to monitor and analyse the seismic, infrasound and hydroacoustic signals produced by such events in underground, near-surface, atmospheric and underwater domains.
