Intrapleural pressure-controlled piezo-catalytic nanozyme for the inhibition of malignant pleural effusion

Malignant pleural effusion is a challenge for cancer therapy. Here, the authors report on a piezoelectric nano-system that inhibits tumor growth in the thoracic cavity by piezo-generated reactive oxygen species using the intrapleural pressure, triggering immunogenic cell death, to treat malignant pleural effusion.

Characterization and structure-based protein engineering of a regiospecific saponin acetyltransferase from Astragalus membranaceus

Currently little is known about the acetylation on sugar moieties. Harnessing organic electrolyte for non-corrosive and wide-temperature Na-Cl₂ battery

Rechargeable sodium-chlorine (Na-Cl₂) batteries hold promise for grid energy storage but face challenges of corrosive thionyl chloride (SOCl₂) electrolytes. Here, authors introduce a non-corrosive ester as an alternative, enabling Na-Cl₂ batteries with a wide temperature range from −40 to 80 °C.
