An mRNA vaccine against monkeypox virus inhibits infection by co-activation of humoral and cellular immune responses

Based on an immunogenicity screen of monkeypox virus (MPXV) surface proteins, the authors develop an mRNA vaccine with 12 antigens, which they combine with T cell epitope-rich regions to achieve protection through coordinated activation of humoral and cellular immune responses.

A lung-selective delivery of mRNA encoding broadly neutralizing antibody against SARS-CoV-2 infection

Understanding the fundamental nano–bio interactions of nanomaterials intended for biomedical use might unlock potential alternative applications. Here the authors reveal a tumoricidal mechanism of black phosphorus nanomaterials where these nanomaterials directly affect the mitotic centrosome machinery by suppressing polo-like kinase 1, suggesting that nanomaterials can be applied in targeted cancer therapy with their intrinsic nano–bio properties.
