A paper similar to this Review article was published in Cancer & Metastasis Reviews (CMR) in June 2006 by Richard Essner1, who is one of the authors of this Review by Alistair J. Cochran et al. in Nature Reviews Immunology (NRI). The CMR paper has the same structure and, in places, is identical to the NRI paper. An erratum was published online on 10 July 2008 and in the September 2008 issue of CMR2, which contains Dr Essner's request to retract the paper, an outcome of investigations by the John Wayne Cancer Institute.
