a Schematic of the setup for in vivo experiments on Sprague Dawley rats. b Location of craniotomy and counter screws. The recording microelectrodes array is implanted at a 15° angle. The neural probe shank is temporarily glued to a tungsten wire shuttle with PEG. The stainless-steel screw on the ipsilateral side was used as a counter for recording, and the one on the contralateral side was used as a counter for sinusoidal pulse delivery
