Clear aligner brand Smile White is breaking new ground as the first company to offer a fully online, dentist prescribed teeth aligner ecommerce experience, allowing customers to begin their journey toward a perfect smile entirely online.

With Smile White, the system not only allows customers to upload photos, but automatically evaluates them. In under a minute, the images are processed using a custom-developed machine learning model that determines case complexity. This provides customers with an immediate understanding of likely treatment times and price points, all without leaving home.

Developed and trained on 50,000 cases, the system is continuously refined with input from dentists who review and enhance results to ensure clinical accuracy. As more patients use the platform, the model becomes increasingly accurate, improving the reliability of each assessment.

After completing the online assessment, patients meet with a Smile White-approved dentist who uses a 3D scanner to finalise the clinic evaluation, ensuring safety and precision. Powered by AWS, the platform handles high volumes of traffic while maintaining a smooth user experience.

Since launch, over 2,100 patients have completed the online assessment, with usage steadily growing each month. Feedback collected from consultations since the service launched has guided the system's continuous improvement, helping dentists make more accurate case classifications and enhancing the overall patient journey.
