Retinoblastoma chronicles: capturing a malignant curse

The image demonstrates bilateral Grade C retinoblastoma [1] in a 2-year-old baby. Clinical features included wandering eye movements and leukocoria [2]. Fundus examination revealed multifocal retinal tumours with associated vitreous seeding (1A,1B), characteristic of advanced disease. Imaging studies confirmed bilateral intraocular involvement, with no evidence of extraocular or regional extensions. We emphasize the importance of early recognition of leukocoria and strabismus as critical signs of retinoblastoma, facilitating timely intervention and optimizing visual and systemic outcomes. A thorough ophthalmic examination is recommended for early detection and prevention of mortality.
