The Editor-in-Chief has retracted this article. After publication, concerns were raised regarding similarities between the figures presented in this article and several other articles that were submitted and published within a similar time frame [1,2,3]. Specifically:
Fig. 4C HT-29 and SW620 VEGF-A blots appear highly similar to Fig. S1C Cyclin D1 and Bcl-2, respectively, in [1].
Fig. S3B HT-29 miR-503-5p+VEGF-A OE and miR-NC+vector images appear highly similar to Fig. 2C H1650 sh-HOTAIRM1 in [2] and Fig. 5B 22RV1 sh-NC+BMI-1in [3], respectively.
The Editor-in-Chief therefore no longer has confidence in the presented data.
Linlin Wei does not agree to this retraction. None of the other authors have responded to any correspondence from the editor or publisher about this retraction.
