Mode-switching in a symmetric tilt GB with fixed ends. a–e Time sequence of a Σ13 [111] \(\left( {3\bar 41} \right)\) symmetric tilt GB under the same constraint conditions as Fig. 6. The temperature was 600K and the driving force was 13.8 meV Å−3. Unlike Fig. 6, the GB does not stagnate, but instead continues migrating.
