The setup of the experiment. a For each group, three participants sat in a triangle. As viewed by the listener (L), the locations of the left and right speakers were −30° (left) and +30° (right), respectively. One camera was placed to the right (from the listener’s perspective) of the left speaker, whereas the other camera was placed to the right of the listener. Participants performed the tasks in a face-to-face condition and a back-to-back condition.
