Images are constant current topographies with tunneling parameters Utip = 2 V, I = 30 pA (a) and Utip = −1 V, I = 10 pA (b, c). Dark features visible after high-temperature annealing (c) are related to oxygen vacancies42,46. The length of the scale bar is 200 nm, 50 nm and 10 nm for a–c images, respectively
