Comparison of rotation frequency dependences on optical power obtained while decreasing and increasing intensity. Rotation frequency was measured first on a platelet spinning under blue excitation light of decreasing intensity and then, using the same particle, upon increasing intensity. These data were obtained for Pe at θ = 45° with respect to the far-field director n0. Data points are mean ± s.e.m
