  1. Treatment allocation was randomised in both trials. Genetic data are reported in terms of the number of paired recurrences genotyped and analysed, since episode pairs are required for recurrence state inference and some paired recurrences were not analysed due to computational complexity. Five patients had unpaired thus unanalyzable genetic data. Data from six paired recurrences were omitted due to computational complexity
