As in Fig. 1, the relative effect size was calculated as a composite of the magnitude of the effect size of road exposure and the spatial scale over which the effect could be detected. Associations with major roads are shown in yellow, minor roads in red and both road types together in blue. Only species with significant associations for all three road categories, determined using a critical alpha level of 0.05 without Bonferroni correction, are featured here.
