The width of each bar is proportional to the number of taxa in each regional flora. The red horizontal lines indicate the proportion of taxa in the global flora that occur (a) in the WEP dataset (i.e., have an economic use) or (b) the respective subset of WEP taxa with a single native TDWG continent. P values from two-sided resampling tests indicate whether the proportion of naturalized taxa is significantly higher (red) or lower (blue) than expected or does not deviate from expectations (black). No corrections were made for multiple comparisons. The number of taxa with an economic use from each continent is indicated in brackets.
