A laboratory-built Ti:sapphire CPA system delivered 708-nm pulses as the driving source for the three subsequent OPA stages. Between the second and third stages, an MZI was set to divide and synthesize the spectrum for dispersion management with two AOPDFs, one placed in each arm. Part of the pumping energy was used for the pulse characterization (2DSI) system. The relative CEP for the amplified pulses from OPA2 was determined using an f–2f interferometer and the error signal was fed back to the controller, which adjusted the delay between the pump and seed pulses in OPA1 to stabilize the CEP. 2DSI two-dimensional shearing interferometer, BS beam splitter, BC beam combiner.
