From: Dielectric ordering of water molecules arranged in a dipolar lattice
We show the configuration of the molecular dipoles of water in cordierite crystalline matrix at zero temperature with two filling factors of water molecules. Red and blue colors correspond to directions along (blue) and against (red) the b-axis. a 100% filling factor. Dipoles are oriented ferroelectrically in the ab-planes and antiferroelectrically along the c-axis. b 75% filling factor corresponding to the studied hydrous cordierite crystal.
