Two-frequency nondegenerate pumps are injected into the network of coupled degenerate optical parametric oscillators (DOPOs) based on silicon nitride (SiN) microresonators. The pumps are split on-chip using multimode interference (MMI) splitters. The DOPO signal is phase matched and generated via four-wave mixing parametric oscillation. Phase-matching conditions result in a bi-phase state for the generated signal. Coupling between DOPOs can be performed using a matrix of reconfigurable Mach–Zehnder interferometers (MZIs).
